southern cricket wholesale order?

I placed an order and after filling out the pertinent details, expecting the next page to give me shipping info it just said thanks for the order?
anyone know what they charge for shipping 1000 3/8 crickets? I did not expect not to be given shipping rate details and am not very happy. How has your guys exp. been with them

i always buy about 2000 to 3000 crickets from cricketsdirect.com and there shipping is always about $8 to $10 to ship to california. you can try giving them a call or checking your back account to see how much your order was.

I got in touch wit them by phone today and the guy told me that they fill and pack the order then find the cheapest way to my zip code as not to overcharge any individual by way of flat rate shipping, which in my case will be around 8 bucks via UPS 2nd day ground. that would give me 1000 crickets for 19 dollars. I will post a follow-up when I recieve my order Wedensday as they do not ship on Thursdays or Fridays.

Thats not a bad deal really. Its about the going rate unless you buy more. Its actually nice of them to shop shipping rates according to customer location. I am in the wholesale business and ship up to 500 packages a day and its a lot of work to do something like that.

Well, I suggest against ordering from them. I called them and they lost my order. I don't know how this is possible when I spoke with them last week they looked it up and had it. I think I will give up trying to order them on-line, my local pet store will sell me 1000 for $26, or a diff store said $32, I'll pay a couple extra bucks to get them now and know what I'm getting. Anyway thanks for the responses.

Their shipping is included in the price listed on the ordering page. I don't like them though, since I had ordered 500 pinhead crickets for my four baby tarantulas and it took a week for the crickets to arrive. By that time, I had nearly lost one spiderling because I could not get to the petstore and was expecting them to arrive the next day.

Bottom line: DO NOT order from Southern Cricket Wholesale!
