Sort of new beardie owner

Just got myself a beardie in March. His name is Smaug and yes I did take that name from The Hobbit- although my dragon isn't quite as monstrous as the dragon in the book (or short tempered lol)
He's currently 8" in length- I'm quite amazed by the growth rate in these guys.
The rents won't let me have him in the house (I think my dad may be herpetophobic) so he lives in the office next door.
He's very finicky about being held. Sometimes he'll let you the rest of the time he runs away.
Any suggestions how to reduce this behaviour would be nice

Babies can be a bit skittish. Just take your time with him and he will get used to you.
My two year old dragon doesn't like to be held much, only because he would rather be running around. :wink:
