Im trying not to loose my mind... now Claytons eyes still keep closed most of the time but when I watch him when he opens his eyes I see the pink roll over his eye , then i see his eyeball .. is this normal ? I feel like since I have had him its been touch and go with his health and its really draining me now ... I bought a digital temp. its at 104 basking 75 cool side... I bought the 10.0 reptisun uvb long bulb today ... he is on tile in a 40 gal tank... eats dusted crickets... what am I doing wrong ??/ I bath him , I gave him water drop by drop tonight... I feel all my efforts and all my money is just not enough Can anyone help me ?

Are you using some kind of colored heat/basking bulb? Colored lights can hurt their eyes, so you should be using a bright white bulb. What do you feed him & how much do you feed him per day? What kind of supplement schedule is he on (calcium, D3, vitamins)? Do you make sure to feed him nothing bigger than the space between his eyes? What kind of hydration does he get (soaks, oral fluids, misting)?

It's like you are giving everyone little pieces to your puzzle and we can't put them together when we have bits and pieces of advice in every thread. You said that you bought the ReptiSun UVB tube bulb today, what UVB bulb did he have before this? If it was a compact or coil bulb or another brand of UVB tube bulb that was bad, it could be this has damaged his eye. If this is the case you will need to give him a week or two to recover.

Hi there ....I see in your other thread that you had a 10.0 coil bulb for UVB at first. That may have hurt his eyes if it was too close. Just give some time now that you changed it. He may improve in a few days or week, as the other poster said.

Sorry didnt mean to post so many threads.. Yes it was a coil and yes my heat light is clear. The store didnt have his medium crickets but they had large they were small for large ones tjough but im tjinking now this may be the cause

If he becomes impacted because of eating the larger crix, give a bit of veg./ or mineral oil, applesauce or canned pumpkin, plus a few warm baths. Stay right with him for the shallow baths to be sure he doesn;t drown. Hopefully all will work out O.K.
