Soon to be beardy owner

Hello everyone,

I currently am living in Colorado and I will be purchasing a bearded dragon in the next few weeks! I am super excited! I plan on getting a beardy from lllreptile.com but of course am open to checking out other breeders if anyone has any suggestions! I have done A LOT of research on the cost to raise a beardy, materials required, and time commitment needed. I believe i have eveerything I need except for experience! It i for that reason that I joined this community! I hope that I can learn a lot of stuff from all of the more experienced members! Any advice anyone has on gutloading feedeers, things I should know about owning a beardy, or just any other advice, I would greatly appreciate it and love to hear it! Or if you just want to say hello thats fine too! Thanks in advance everyone! I look forward to owning a beardy and being a part of this community!

I would just suggest that you read as much as possible here at this site, especially the Enclosure Forum, as that contains all the important information on lighting and heating.

I to am new to this site. I have 3 dragons. 2 of them have been with me for 5 yrs and my newest beardie for about 6 months. The best advice I can give you is to never quit learning/reading about them and this site is a wonderful source of information. So, "hello" Colorado from Arkansas.

Smauggie-girl is our first BD; we bought her from PetSmart (I know ... Not the best way to buy one!) in May. I've had other reptiles before (turtles) but I didn't quite know what to expect until we brought her home. I can honestly say that we have just ADORED her from the get-go! I think you will enjoy your new pet!
