Hey guys! I was getting ready to feed my buddy Spyro and I noticed he had this little brown lining on his jaw. He didn't have it last night so I'm a little worried it might be some kind of infection or something. Hopefully it's nothing but I still wanted to check!

That looks like maybe stain from food or the beginning of a shed to me. Do the scales around his mouth and chin look waxy or dull to indicate a shed coming on?

Yes they do! Do you think that would cause the color change?

It's quite possible. I would keep a close eye on the area over the next few days to see if sections or even individual scales start to shed off. Keep an eye out for anything that looks like a wound or scab, but my guess based on the photo is that the area is about to shed (unevenly).
