i just thought id throw this out there, they have flightless fruit flies for tiny herps, but what i think would be the biggest revolution in the history of food insects would be... crickets that cant jump worth a damn. its gotta be possible, would take longer than breeding flightless fruit flies, cause the generations are longer, but i know someone could do it, man, it would be sooooo nice, so any cricket breeders out there, see what you can do, start selecting crickets that dont jump well, and breed them, lots of them, anyway

lol. I've thought about this. well not necessarily ones that dont jump, but selective breeding and why there aren't albino or other odd crickets out there. I actually breed wingless fruit flies for my dartfrogs. I am getting into crickets right now but only 1 generation in and have some tweaking to do. I still ended up with thousands of crickets, but could have done better. Hopefully I fixed everything I messed up the first round. I'm planning to go pretty big, somewhere around 10-12 bins running with different age crickets at any givin time. If I see any missing back legs I'll scoop em out, lol.

Lateralis or lobster roaches are crickets that don't jump but run like heck.

However, they grow much slower than crickets.
