My viv's humidity is 30-40 during the day, but going up to 60-70 during the night (yikes!). Lights out temp is 70-73 degrees right now in the viv. Would it be ok to leave a black night light on to see if it reduces the humidity if the temps don't go too high? Or is this a bad idea? Not even sure if it would make any difference, but thought I might give it a shot. Any thoughts? Thanks!

How close is the enclosure to a window or exterior door? Is it on a main level of the house or in a sub level? Are you providing a water dish? What state do you live in? On and on, there are so many variables to consider with humidity as well as in heating. This makes it hard to troubleshoot the issue. My advice would be an air purifier near the enclosure, this could help reduce the moisture in the air enough to not make it a risk anymore. Risk areas for humidity would be less then 20% and more then 50%. At levels lower then 15%, dehydration can kick in. At levels more then 55% mold, mildew and fungus can naturally grow. I have purposely left a 5% gap in the measurements to provide a safer environment, there are always exceptions to every rule, this helps lessen the impact of those exceptions. Ideally 20%-30% humidity for bearded dragons.

Having a lower humidity % is easier to counter act as you can provide water, misting, salads and baths.

Do you think an air purifier or dehumidifier would be better? I've heard lots about the dehumidifiers but not so much an air purifier.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
