Soaking Concern?!

When I give Brian a good soak, his belly gets really really puffed out. Is this normal?
But i mean it must puff out a good 3-4x its size, and is very squishy to the touch.
Other then that he seems fine in the water - his colors come alive and bright.

Speaking of which - when hes in his aquarium his colors darker and become brown and dark brown shades. When he hits the water within seconds his bright yellow and orange tones come out - whats going on?

This probably has a lot to do with his uv, i turned it off yesterday and will keep it off and just have the heat bulb on until his mega ray comes in. Hopefully by friday is all goes well.

Has anyone experienced such color changes?

nesta does the same "lay out" of the belly and her colors definitely brighten up even more in the tub! just a sign that they're happy! and i think the puffing may be because they are so comfortable with all that warmth ( like you unbuttoning your pants after christmas dinner) haha!

I think it's like deploying the floatation device in the bath! They puff up with air so they don't sink
