So... I lost Sexy Legs

I had just gotten back from getting my beardie (Sexy Legs, Slegs for short although ive started calling her slug for some reason...) her permanent home, a size 40 breeder tank (36'' long, 18'' wide, 15'' tall) and I was super excited, I took her out put her in the tank, watched the new Weeds with her and when she warms up and starts running I usually let her free roam in the living room for a little bit while keeping a close eye on her.

I saw her head into my room and I though oh ok Ill just close the door and its not like she hides or anything.
I was wrong. My brother walked in at some point and left the door open.

Now I cant find Slegs for the life of me.
Ive looked EVERYWHERE.

Is there any way to lure her out? I realize tonight is probably too late and shes found some dark warm spot to sleep.
I hope I catch her tomorrow, I already took the day off work so that I can be on the look out.

Im willing to try anything short of setting crickets free in my appt.
I feel so dumb...

She somehow managed to jump onto the towel hanging from my bed and fell asleep in between my pillows.
Im sooo relieved what a scare...

Anyways, anybody let their beardies free roam? Maybe once shes fully mature I can let her free roam more and more

Whew! What a scare, huh?

As for letting your baby run free in the house, you'll have to start with a very small confined area, like the bathroom or a portion of the hallway. Once she gets used to being out of her viv and not be scared enough to run off and hide, you can gradually increase the area to free roam. Before you know it, she'll be cruising the entire house without being lost.

That's great that you found her, you're very lucky, some have lost track of their and never were able to find them. They will burrow down in the strangest places. We let ours run around (separate of course) but have lost track of them, we know their usual crashing sights but once in a while it takes a bit to find them and ours are all adults. You might want to block off some areas to make it more "beardie proof" if that's possible.

Great to hear that you found her!
They have a tendency to do that when they are younger. As suggested, if you start with a smaller area for her to roam around & "beardie proof" the area she wont hide or get lost. When they get older, they don't tend to hide as much. Also, once you have an established roaming area, you will learn where all of their places are that they like to hide, or chill out.

I had the same scare two nights ago. I sleep everynight with MJ in my bed... I've done that ever since she was only 5 in long (she's almost 10 in now). Anyway.. the other night I remember waking up around 230 am.. and she wanst in the bed. Usually when this happens.. I'd find her by my foot (she's a bad sleeper lol), or in my pillow etc. Lets just say I stayed up at 230 am.. up until 10 am tearing up my bedroom. I started crying I think more of being embarassad and felt so dumb. I finally tore up my bed frame and found her sleeping next to an old suitcase. So the past few nights I've been cuddling her but I ve been putting her back in her viv... =( I'll wait till she gets a bit bigger !!

Glad you found your little SLs. Mine free roams in the living room but I never let her out of my line of sight. The one time I had her out and was cleaning in the kitchen. She came around the corner to find me, like, hey you are supposed to be in here watching me. It's no fun to play alone! She will usually go back into her viv when she has had enough since I leave the door open when she is out and her viv sits on the floor.
