I just wanted to add in that you really shouldn't place food with them if your trying to make them pupate. You MUST stress them out for them to pupate and if they have food they will have no need to turn into pupa. I'm not saying your lying it just really is best not to add food. Out of curiosity, how long exactly did it take your worms to turn into pupa and then to beetles?

iv got 8 beetles now. and like ten more pupae. Only had one deateh and have like four more wating to be pupae.

I got beetles First ones just started coming out yesterday! But they are not active at all .. i kinda have to poke them to see if they are still alive, this normal? They have rolled oats and wheat germ for substrate and a long slce of celery for food/moisture .. or maybe they just take a few days to get going?
