I had thought that my BD was 3.5 months old...turns out he's 6 months old. Oops. The sizing/age chart I had used, and other charts I saw never specified if it was nose to bum or nose to end of tail. But as I was in the store getting more crickets I asked about the tiny BD's in their shop. They're SO tiny compared to my BD. Turns out they were 2 months old! Finding out that the ones I would never have guessed at 2 months it made me rethink my boy's age.
Finally found a page that said nose to end of tail. My boy is about 12 inches long give or take as he never likes having a tape measure near him. So that's about 6-7 months old. I'm guessing 6 but I could be wrong. Its splitting hairs anyway. Halloween would be his hatch day or the month before.
I'd been feeding him as if he was a baby and he's very plump. So now I'm guessing I should move more veggies in and less crickets. The switch is gonna make him grumpy 'cause he loves him some crickets.
I wasn't expecting him to be 2x the age I'd guessed him at. I wish the store had known how old he was but...meh, water under the bridge.
