SO ASHAMED!!!!!

I cannot believe that I am even going to write this.... But I feel so ashamed and so guilty!!! After everything that has been going on with Izzy and running back and forth to the vet. Different antibiotics. Different injections. Different foods, remedies, baths...... I was sitting with her today, in tears, I thought I was going to loose her today. I made her comfortable with a blanket and sang to her. Rubbing her head. (keep in mind, we have 4 60 gallon stackable vivs. And Izzy is on the bottom, under her sister Baby.) I happened to look upp at her lighting when something caught my eye. Repti GLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg, my heart sank and I literally slammed my damn head on the top of her viv as I panicked to sit up and shut it off. I was with my husband when we got everything, but we bought Izzy and Baby and my husbands newest snake that day... we had a lot going on. But OMG!! Are you kidding me. I have had the wrong Inappriate word removed by moderatorlight in this entire time!!!!!!!!!

And now I go, um hello....that is why Baby sits on the back side of her perch (out of the lights view). Ugh! So, I took them out and went right to the store and got Repti-Suns. They only had the 5.0s so I got them and going to reptile expo Sat, hoping they have them and cheaper than 59.00 like at Petsmart.

Oh I am so sad about this. Soooo Sad.

Now now... It is ok. Don't be ashamed, it's going to be ok. Just be proud that you are such a good Momma you fixed the problem in a hurry. Accidents happen... Mistakes happens too. It's ok...

It's ok, at least you caught it before your baby got worse. I'm sorry you didn't catch the mistake earlier, but it happens, they're so much alike. I did the same thing, my baby went into convulsions, then I realized, wrong bulb, hit myself in the head too. I'm sorry your vet didn't realize that the wrong UVB can cause all these issues, guess you'll have to let him/her know that should be one of the first questions they should be asking. So the Reptisun 5.0 will be ok for now, I'm hoping you'll find a 10.0 at the expo, if not you can order them at www.petmountain.com and other sites, too, for much cheaper than the price in a petshop (as long as you live in the USA). Hope your little one gets healthy quickly!

Dr. Foster and Smith's website also sells the Reptisun 10.0 at a good price, even when they aren't running a sale. They also offer automatic scheduled delivery on bulbs and vitamins so you never have to worry about re-ordering. For me its a good reminder that it's time to change the bulb.

Yes, I used it once & my 3 mo old beardie, named Issy, had convulsions and we thought we'd lost her. Went & got a Power Sun and within 2 days she was back to normal. I've never heard any good things about Reptiglo, so I've always avoided it and I never recommend it.
