Smiley problems

I've noticed that recently when quoting a post, smileys like often are reduced to a line of text when quoting, like this

Is that due to people not copying the space in front of the smiley text when quoting or a problem with the site?
Also, the bottoms and /or sides of certain smileys ( :lol: :roll: :laughing6: :love10: :notworthy: rotest: :wave: ) have been cut off. Sometimes the cutoff is there, sometimes it isn't.

What happens when you quote someone is that the system removes the extra space in front of ":", thus changing it to text.
All you have to do is to add the space back in. In other words, the text should look like this:

[quote] :wink:[/quote]

As for the bottom and/or sides being cut off, that happens on occasion depending on the screen size view and other times the internet itself.

Huh. I dunno if I've noticed that. I am guessing it's a bug in the forum software. In theory, it SHOULD do it correctly without making you add the extra space.

Nope, never did transfer correctly when quoting. It's only when the smiley code is placed at the beginning of a sentence though.
