Smell of Tile

I am thinking about using tile in one of my tanks just to see how I like it but I have heard from a few people when you use tile you are spending alot of time cleaning and it can begin to smell pretty badly. Just wanted to see what everybody thought about this. Thanks!

Sorry I was alittle unclear but I meant from them going to the bathroom does it smell and do you have to clean the tiles alot more often or is there not really a smell as long as you keep up with the cleaning.

If they poo on the tile just use a wet wipe and clean it up!! No smell and I love it!! Good luck...

I have slate tiles my girl loves them and it's so easy to clean and evan if it smells you should clean it once a week anyway I do my girl likes it when I put the tiles back in wet I leave the doors open till it's dry but she stands on it then feels it's nice and hot she flumps herself down lol

When you say use a wet wipe doesn't that have some sort of chemical in it that could be harmful to the dragon or do you just wipe it down with a papertowel after?

I use baby wipes there ok or you can use a paper towle to wipe up the poo then spray where he went with water and wipe it dry

As far as the OP, you can seal natural stone (marble, slate, etc) just like you do the grout to make it easier to clean up. I don't believe the ceramic / glazed tile is porous, so once you clean it up, you should be good.
