Hi all, I've noticed last week that my female (I think) dragon is sleepy through the day, like she doesn't get enough sleep in the night, the lights go off at 6:30 pm to 6:30 am and I close her head with a blanket because the computer shines directly on her viv.

Last week she got moved to a bigger viv, and she looks much better now, before she would sleep the whole day, but now she basks and runs around most off the day, but around 3pm she goes to the cold side and falls asleep. Or after I fed her her roaches, she goes to the cold side and refuses to bask, I'm worried that can cause impactation if she refuses to bask after eating.

Basking rock: 98F-104F
Warm side: 93F-96F
Cold side: 78F-85F

I thought maybe she wants to brumate because winter is starting here in SA, but she eats and doesn't poop before going to sleep. She had a bit of impactation but that is kind of solved. She isn't losing weight, and she is starting to eat good again. She has a brand new Repti-Sun 10.0 UVB, that hasn't been put on yet because the cable is too short.

Is it just brumation? Or is something else wrong?

Also the UVB, we bought it last year but it has not been put in a cage yet till now, is the UVB still good?

Thank you in advance.

EDIT: So I got the UVB on and she loves it! Happy colors and switching from basking rock to pillow bellow the UVB, but I've got a question, how far from the UVB should she be, I measured and from the UVB to her back is about 7'', should this be fine?

Thank you :) now I have one problem, with the uvb the warm side is too warm by the middle of the day. And I have a feeling a smaller wattage bulb won't help. I have a 60 watt in. Should probably get a different kind of bulb.

I didn't think the UVB created much heat. It is difficult during this time of year with the fluctuating outdoor temps. To reduce the basking temp, lower the basking place, raise the bulb, or get a lower wattage bulb. It's an art as well as a science, and a difficult thing for many of us to get just right.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
