Sleeping standing up!

My beardie sometimes sleeps standing up in the corner of the tank. Propped up by his tail and his two arms in the air. I got worried after 5 hours and went to "wake" him up. He's always been a heavy sleeper so I had to actually touch him for him to open his eyes a sliver. I moved him and put him down and he laid like that. Activity levels are normal. That was last night. It just seem weird that he would find that comfortable. Is he ok? I did try to pick him up a few times earlier in the day (he's 2 weeks old to me so I gave him some time to adjust) so perhaps he's stressed?

Advice or comment?

Thanks.

I cut a reed window shade to size and attached some fake ivy leaves and lined 3 sides of Phoenix' tank with it.He likes to climb up the reeds and has fallen asleep verically, also. I am sure he'd be fine but it does look sooo uncomfortable (to a human) and now one member of the family usually holds him until he falls asleep and then we lay him in his "snugglie" inside the tank. It's agreat way to get in some snuggle time!

It seems to me I have seen several posts of people who's Beardie sleeps exactly like yours.

There's a thread on this site called "Beardies Sleep Every Which Way" that's a hoot! They really do sleep vertically when they're little, and it looks so uncomfortable! But as they get older it gets even weirder! They smash themselves into corners, droop themselves over rocks and branches (my Dubs sleeps draped over a cement lawn gnome), and sometimes it looks like they just pick a spot and their bones dissolve. I've honestly never seen any other reptile that sleeps like beardies do. Have fun taking pics and showing them to your friends!

Mine do that sometimes.

It looks adorable.

Once one of them was sitting in a Bush straight up with his arms out while my other Beardie was on the Floor all stretched out Flat against the ground Sleeping. It is a Kokak moment. I only wish I took a picture to show you guys.

You've got a cutie :). Mine is 10 months old. We're getting better at holding him now. We can now hold him for about 30 seconds before he squirms. Maybe sometime he'll be tame enough to be left alone outside without us worrying about him running around.

LOL! oh my gosh...these little guys always crack me up! my friends dragon, Tank, sleeps exactly like yours. He's the same age, too! He will sleep like that for hours, smacked up against the glass, arms limp by his sides. I think the same thing...that can not be comfortable :) but if there's one thing I have learned quickly with these little ones is they are def not stupid. If its not working for them, they will NOT do it...LOL

Have so much fun with your guy:) My girl amazes me daily

LOL those pictures crack me up. As everyone else said, it's normal. You're such a good beardie parent to be concerned. :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
