Sleeping spot

Hi all. Our Bandit seems to like to sleep on the top of his log laying on top of it with all 4 of his legs dangling off. He seems fine so I guess its ok, but do you guys have caves, or places your beardie can hide at night? We currently don't have any cave or enclosure he could sleep in. Maybe this is why he sleeps like he does? Does it matter? Thanks for any info!!!

I'm not sure if it matters, but my Beardie doesn't use any caves at night. She only sleeps if I wrap her in or at least cover her with a blankie

If I leave my beardie alone she will fall asleep wherever she is when her lights go out; usually on her basking platform (piece of ceramic tile on top of a wooden box used as her hide). However, I usually spoil her & wrap her up in a blanket like a burrito. I hate the thought of her sleeping on cold tile at night.

Zeek goes back and forth between sleeping on his log, inside the log, in his cave, on a tree branch, or just straight on the substrate. As long as they're comfortable and feel safe, that's all they care about.

Nero has only just discovered his hide, he's slept in it now only 3 times but seems to favor sleeping where he can hang his legs. :lol:

Soleil likes to hide while she's sleeping. Right now since she's being treated for coccidia she just goes behind her box, otherwise she liked to wedge herself underneath her log before then.

I think it all goes down to personality.

Pogo won't go into his hide (and I even replaced it for a smaller one that I thought he might like better). He falls asleep on me or my son on a piece of felt every night and then we put the felt on top of his hide. That seems to be working fine. When he gets up in the morning after the lights are on, he hangs out in his felt blanky for a bit, and then he runs up his log and hangs out moving to his highest basking spot and then back down the log and then back up. Rinse repeat.
