So I know Some Beardies get Angry when being woke up, that they take a Few Hour's to Warm up before they eat and Start being Active. I'll explain my Problem? When it's light's on Time, he seem's to still want to Sleep and look's very Stressed, And VERY Anxious! But as soon as 6:00PM Comes around "6 Hour's Later" He's Wide Awake, Active and Ready to Chow Down and Happy, then when 4:00Am come's around, he's ready to sleep. I've Tried turning the Light's off at 12, 2, 3 and so forth, but He only goes to sleep at 4! I've Tried Waking him up Early with Light's on and fixing the Schedule, but he doesn't seem to want it to Change? Other than the Problem I just Stated, everything else is Fine with him, He's very Happy after ^ hour's of Light's being on, He's Healthy, He Eat's Right, and The Temperature's are Perfect, as with the UVB and Light and Heat. So is this Normal????

Sleeping Schedule : Light's on at 12:15PM.
Become's Very Active at 6:00PM.
Light's off at 4:00AM.

Can you give me exactly what times your lights come on in the morning and go off at night? I'm a little confused from your post, are you saying your beardie is awake all night and sleeps during the day? Also, what part of the world do you live in?

The time changes, sunrises, and sunsets affect the sleeping pattern of your beardie. Some go to bed early as of 4 while others stay awake until 7. (Mine goes to bed at 7 and wakes up at 7. She waits for me to wake up and stares at me the entire time I'm sleeping). It's also based on your sleeping schedule you've set for them.

It also depends on how old your beardie is because over a year, they'll brumate in the wild. (Some brumate in capitivity.) I've read some things and researched brumation on the web.

You say that only 6 hrs later you beardie starts to be active, which is at 6PM. So this means that your lights on are at 12PM? I think this is where the problem is. When I didn't have a timer, I used to sleep in on the weekends and turn on the lights only around 9 am. At that time my beardie was already awake for a couple hours because it was around 2 hrs after sunrise. So he was sitting there with no lights on, very grumpy and mad at me. Even though I have curtains on the windows, some light still gets in and the beardie wakes up when its sunrise. So I think your beardie's sleep schedule is kinda off, you should turn on the lights way earlier than 12 pm, then he will be tired in the evening and go to sleep no problems.

Alright, let me Re-explain better. Lol.

Light's are Turned on at 1:45PM now.
Light's are Turned off at 4-5 Am now.

After light's are on,He is Wide Awake but it take's him Till 6PM to be active. But He is just Very Anxious when the Light's are Turned on, before he become's Active and Happy at 6.
Then I turn the Light's off at 4 or 5 AM and he goes Straight to Sleep and Sleep's through the Whole Night Until I turn the Light's on the Next Day.

I have Tried fixing his Schedule example's.
2 Weeks Straight Light's on at 8Am, off around 8-10PM = Didn't work. He wouldn't have it.
Did the Same thing with Different Time's for Light's on and off, each time being a 2 Week Trail.

Where I live the Sun come's up around 7Am and goes down at 6PM.
Also when he Does Sleep from 4-5Am to 1:45Pm his Tank has a Towel around it where he Sleep's to provide Pure Darkness. And he is Also 2 Month's and 3 Day's Old, 12 Inches Long. Eat's very Good, Green's and Bug's. Very Nice and tame. His Tank UVB, Heat/Light's are all Perfect. Night time and Daytime Temps are Perfect.

I mean I'm fine with what ever Schedule he Chooses, I'm just wondering about His anxiety and why it take's him 5-6 Hour's to be come happy and active.

Does that make more sense this Time? Lol

Every beardie wakes up stressed because their bodies cool overnight, I've just never heard of a schedule like the one you have. If you want him to get onto a more natural night/day cycle, I would suggest doing it slowly, set the timer back by a half hour and leaving it like that for a couple days, then turn it back another half hour and leave it for a few days, etc. It will take a while, but you can ease your beardie into the new schedule rather than just drastically changing it.

I don't know what to tell you about how long it takes him to get active, but it usually takes my Hermes an hour or so, minimum. His lights come on at 7:30 AM, and sometimes I have seen him awake before then, but he won't actually move until around 8:15-8:30, but the whole time his eyes are open and he's alert, he just doesn't feel like moving.

I agree with the previous poster, try changing your beardie's sleep cycle slowly. I am not sure why it takes your beardie 6 hrs to fully wake up.. My beardie's lights go on at 6:30am and by 7 am he is already walking around, waiting for me to feed him. My only guess is maybe its his age? He is still a baby, so perhaps that's why he is so anxious.

Alright, I'll try setting the Timer back 30 Min's for a Week, and if i don't see any change I'll try 2 Week's, Hopefully I can get it fixed. I mean he's Perfectly Healthy and Happy, it's just his Schedule is so jacked up that it messes up my Sleep. But hopefully It will work and be fixed in a few month's.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
