Sleeping on basking spot?

My new bearded dragon Piff has only been in his home for just over 3 weeks and for the first 2 weeks when I turned off his lights he would snuggle between the wall and the tiling I have for his substrate to sleep. Then I got him a vine to climb on to get closer to the light (I get paid this week and will buy him something larger soon, but at the moment he fits it well) and he loves it and spends most of the day up there but now when I turn off his lights he just sleeps where he is on the vine. I'm not worried about him being afraid to come down or anything because he leaves it all the time to eat and thermo-regulate. I'm just not sure if it's normal for him to want to sleep up there. I would love any opinions as to why he might be doing this, thanks.

It's pretty normal. They sleep in all sorts of strange positions and spots. He is probably just comfortable there =)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
