Sleeping issue need assistance

I guess when Fall hits New England it really hits, but don't blink because it will be 90 again tomorrow!! My question is this - Last night I went upstairs and noticed it was really cold. I looked in Harry's tank and the temp was reading 60. I was freezing so I imagined Harry was too. I put a blanket on the top of his cage and this morning my hubby and I decided to get a CHE for him, but we can't get one until Saturday, so tonight I have Harry sleeping beside my bed in my daughter's doll cradle with his blanket. For some reason my room stays fairly warm. Is this okay to do :?: Tomorrow night isn't supposed to be as cool so I am sure he can go back in his viv, but I didn't want him freezing tonight. He actually fought me putting him in his viv earlier and snuggled under my shirt to fall asleep. Does he know it was too cold? I am new to this and I wasn't sure if it was ok to keep him out for a night. I also set my alarm to go off 10 minutes before his lights come on so I can get him in his viv and keep a normal schedule. So his cage is not in your room?? And its colder where his viv is? Your room stays warmer,,correct? And you have him wrapped up in a blanket sleeping in a doll cradle?? How cute is that??? As long as he won't get below 65 or so he will be fine. Maybe you could wake up and put him in your bed in the morning and wake up with him...Awww!!! You should be fine as long as it doesn't get too cold.

My room is too small. Harry is in a 75 Gal tank in the livingroom. The winter he will be fine - we heat with a wood stove in the livingroom so I am sure he will be too warm, lol. It's just last night was too cold, but yet not cold enough to light the stove and it will be 90 degrees tomorrow. I didn't think it was a big deal he was in a doll cradle and wrapped up like a baby and it is about 75 in my room right now and it's midnight so I am assuming he will be comfy tonight. I just don't want to spoil him more than he already is, lol - he even has a pillow!! Sad part is Harry is a he and the doll cradle is pink, lol.

Lots of people have dragons that sleep outside of their viv. It will be just fine to do this.

Thanks I just am worried it will go to his head now and he will always want to do this. My daughter is 4 she will want her cradle back for her dolls, LMAO - I need to try to get a picture of this he looks like a baby all comfy and cozy!!

i actually wrap both my babies... er i mean beardies.. in baby blankets and put them in my room.
we stay up fairly late and it always feels like the noise keeps them up (they scratch when we are too loud), so we put them in our dark, quiet bedroom.

I was actually looking for a doll crib or a bassinet to keep them in. (why are doll cribs so pricey?)

when i wake them up in the morning they always seem more rested. and they always snuggle right into their blankets at night.

Harry was so cute when he woke up this morning. He peeked out the top of the cradle and looked at me as if to say Morning Mum, I'm awake!!

Harry seemed to act well rested today, maybe they like to sleep outside their viv's. I was lucky my daughter got her cradle as a birthday gift, they are pricey. I have seen a couple for decent prices at Toys R Us and walmart right after the Christmas Season. I do think however that Danielle may have lost her cradle to Harry, He really likes it, lol.

That is adorable! He's so cute in his bed! That is such a super idea! I don't have a doll cradle (no kids) but that was a great idea! I made Big Bertha a bed by taking a square bowl and making a fouton, blanket and 2 pillows out of soft fleece for her, but a doll bed would have been a much better idea!

I was just looking at Ebay and there are a lot of people that sell beds and coordinated bedding for 18 inch American Girl dolls. Those would work perfectly for a beardie!

The American girl doll bed would work perfect!!! I am going to search around too and see if I can find a cute boyish bed for Harry when he slleps outside his viv.
