I lost my beloved lady dragon Trogdor on Saturday, November 3rd in her sleep. She was nearly eight years old.

Trogdor was plauged with a variety of mystery illnesses throughout her life. Although her absence is such a loss, her death was not exactly unexpected. What was likely aspiration pneumonia and some kind of infection related to her reproductive system cost her life.

What's most important is to remember her spirit. I was so humbled to wake up beside her everyday, and never took a moment for granted. I bathed her religiously, took her for routine vet appointments, took her to the park in the summer, and hand fed her for her entire life. She was deeply loved and touched so many around her.

Thank you so much my little pancake for your sense of humour, your perfect stink eye, and your resilience throughout all your ailments. I'm so relieved you decided to depart this life on your own terms. I couldn't have asked for more for you.

I'm looking forward to setting up an altar of flowers and grasses, photos, and a small urn to commemorate her life and the influence she had on those around her.

Sleep well, my darling baby girl <3
