Hello all,
I noticed several dark spots on Spencer's chin and mouth about a month ago. He wasn't acting lethargic or anything. So I thought it was just something that he got on his face. Considering my visual impairment, I finally had my roommate take pictures of it because it hadn't gone away after he shed. There are no other places on his skin that look like this.
Today he's still his usual self. His diet consists of dubia roaches and fresh veggies. Temps are correct. Enclosure is clean.
Here are links to two pictures that were taken with a good camera.

I'm worried that it's skin rot or something worse.
I've been hesitant on taking him to the vet in town because the last time I took his advice, my previous beardie ended up dying.
Please let me know your thoughts and remedies that will help. I'm not ready to lose another one.
Thanks so much.
