Skin Disease?

Hello! I'm new here, and I think my beardie's sick. It's my first one actually. He has the scales from his head (near its nose) fall off, like peeled. And then the skin that was left was like greyish black. What could be the cause of this? He also has his foot with these black markings, like scales falling off. Sorry for the bad english by the way. Pictures of him are shown below. (Sorry for the oversize pictures)

Hi there...he's a cute little one ! And your English is not bad at all Your baby looks like he has a harmless uneven shed, his head is going to shed again. How long have you had him ? The striping on the arm looks like another beardie may have bitten him at one time and there is very slight scarring. It doesn't look bad at all. Can you list your tank set up , like what lights you use, what you have on the floor of his tank, what he eats, etc. Also, since you are in the Phillipines, do you take him outside for sunlight ?

He is a little cutie pie.
The pictures just show he is going to shed, so it is not any skin disease, luckily. You can bathe him to help with shedding, but it normally takes several days for them to shed as the top layer has to dry out while the new scales form underneath.
How is his appetite doing?

He has a 20 gallon tank and a halogen lamp for his basking light. I'm having a hard time finding the correct bulbs for him as there are no available reptile supplies here in the Philippines. What bulbs could I use as heat source for him. I did some research and it told me to get incandescent lights and mercury vapor bulbs? I also take him out to get natural sunlight for about 2 hours per day, I feed him superworms twice a day at the moment because it's the only available food for him to get that's near my place. He also eats some greens once a day. I am truly worried about superworms though, again I did some research and then I learned that superworms contain too much fat?

Your advices will be much appreciated.

you will need a UVB bulb, 2 hours of sunlight wont cut it for long, they need 10-12 hours a day of light

as for superworms, they will be hard for them to digest, as their shell contains too much chitin for them to handle at a young age. they are fattening yes, but its good for them while they grow up. i feed mine a few CUT UP supers each day, they are his favourite food.

He will need heat bulbs for 12 hours of light + heat per day, these can be common hosehould bulbs or halogen. The basking spot should be about 105 [ I think it was mentioned ] but you also need a cool side of about 80, that's also very important. And if he is truly getting 2 hours of sunlight, then he does not need a UVB bulb at all just the heat bulb when he's in the tank. The superworms must be small or medium, [ cut up like was mentioned ] large ones can cause impaction. If you have access to any cricket or roach type insects that are definitely pesticide free, you can add those to his diet.

How is he doing today?
Two hours of sunlight is great. I would have a UVB light just for back up in the case you are not able to get him outside.
Were you able to get a basking light for him?
That is great he eats greens daily, also.

Hello,

I just have to ask you guys again if he really is just shedding. He looks like this today, his left nostril is covered with dark grey skin. I'm really worried. Btw, I just bought UVB from a shop here even though it costs double the price, its Reptisun 10.0 High Output UVB. I also bought a basking bulb and infrared bulb. I still don't have lamps at the moment, maybe I'll get one tomorrow, but please can you tell me what to do about my dear Hansel? =((
