Alright. Well, Tango just turned 6mo last week. I was looking on here at some pictures of other 6 month old dragons and Tango seems so small. I feed him crickets (as many as he will eat), which I'm usually ordering 500 every week - week 1/2. I also feed him greens from celery, carrots, bell pepper, red leaf lettuce, etc. He loves the small colored dragon bites but I cant find them anywhere. He has a uvb light and heat light. He drinks water from a bowl or out of his bath. He's a good baby. I just want to know why he isnt growing. I got him from a breeder. Also, starting today he has a black beard. Which is his first one.I have read where they go through their juvy stages.but It really scares me b/c thats the first thing scooter started doing before he died. I'm feeding him right and when he lets me get him out I'll let him out and just hold him and let him run around. He's in a custom cage ( 4ft x 2 ft). Please let me know what you think. Thanks so much!

When I first got him: (only a couple of weeks old)

I dont think comparing him to other beardies on this site is a good way to decide how healthy/normal he is. I remember comparing Kazi to the others around here and wondering why he was so tiny in comparison to them. I think he was somewhere around 12 - 13 inches at 6 months old. Now, at 10 months, hes catching up in length (about 18inches) but hes still very slim and baby faced compared to others I see which are a similar age! To me, as long as they are eating, basking, pooping and have not become any less active then there is no reason to worry. If in any doubt, a vet visit / fecal might put your mind at ease :)

Hello~

Check out Beautifuldragons.com for a list of veggies & fruits to feed, the things you are feeding are not the best nutrition, carrots should only be givin in moderation, cererly is mostly water no nutrition, red pepper rarely and red lettuce also has no nutritional value really either. Staple green can be dark greens (rather than salad lettuces) such as collards, dandelions, mustard greens (there are lots of other too). Feeding the proper veggies from the list will insure optimal growth.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
