I know I should know the answer to this, but I don't....

Little Nyoko seems to have a bit of shed on the base of his tail that isn't doing anything... He has a bit of shed on his face and it looks like he could be getting ready to shed... but can they shed different parts of their bodies at different times?

Ryuu never had this problem... hence the question.

how odd... figured it was better to ask than sit there and poke at his tail ;)

Im glad I'm not the only one who wanted to ask this! Lol my dragons tail looks so dark like its gonna fall off. Ive just been trying to convince myself she's due for a shed and only her tail is ready haha. It's nice to have some verification :)

right now Baby Birdie has her head and tail cloudy ready to shed and her body was shed over a week ago. Puppy did have the end of his tail not shed completely but it looked as if it should have come off so during his bath I gently rubbed it and it came off.

Our beardie is shedding today and i was shocked. Guess I didnt know he would do it so soon. Are we suppose to do anything or let the skin come off normally? He also doesnt like baths, will he get use to them and should I keep giving them to him? will it help his skin to come off? He has a big piece between his body and the beginning of his tail.

Some of them don't care for baths. It helps them to moisturize their skin though, and I know it relieves the itching when they are in shed. Also I have a sweet soft-bristle toothbrush that I scrub Franklin with when he's in the tub. It get's those partials and small bits without irritating the skin or pulling off pieces that aren't ready to come off. If it was me i'd keep bathing him regardless. Also the long you leave those long pieces of shed on the more they will deal with it themselves.

Thanks for the info. Ive been spraying him with a spray bottle and I was going to try and still bath him twice a week to help the skin. He only stays in for like a minute but at least he's getting wet. Most of it has worked its way off but I think the bath helped. Thanks again...

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
