Silkworms and other feeders

Oh and they are a greyish color now but will turn into there normal color white.

U can use a heating pad and keep it on low, if ur house is on the cold side

Oh ok i can handle that. Do you use the heating pad for the eggs and for the silkworms or just the eggs. I was told by a company that i ordered the silkworm eggs from that you can keep them in the fridge and take out whatever amount of eggs you want to hatch so you dont have 800-1000 at one time.

That's what they say about the eggs but don't keep them in the fridge more than a month or two cuz the eggs might not hatch, is they told me. And u only need to keep the eggs warm. It's been 6 days since mine hatched I have them in my room where I can keep an eye on them. Once the get a little bigger I will put them in other room. Also after 24hr after they hatch u can feed them ,grate the lightly. Don't give alot of food, then u have to wait till that food sets to give more. It's really hard cuz they are so small real small and they can even give out silk at that stage, combined with the food ,and all of them together, you can really separate them from there food and silk, so I have been carefully putting some more food (after the other drys) hoping they will move over..

Well I am going to try my luck at breeding a few silkies... I put 6 worms aside and hopefully the will coocoon and turn into moths..

I think i will stick to buying silkworm eggs and try and raise them.
