My dragon needs glasses imo. He has 1 eye that is ever so slighly farther out of the socket than the other. It's no hurting him or anything. He eats salad no problem and has a good UV light. His issue is with live foods. I have to hold the roaches for him and sometimes he will miss a still target aiming too far to the left. His right eye is the crappy 1. Any one happen to have an easy solution to improveing a beardies eye sight? Trust me its not the lighting or anything like that i've been an owner for 2 years, i change the UV's every year, the temps are good, and they eat well. The eye wasnt caused by me, it was always like that and im farily certain he was just born that way because the breeder i got him from is quite skilled. So aside from getting him a cute little monical...any suggestions? Sight improveing vitamins or something? If not he is in good hands he just has depth perception and bad aim issues.

Im not sure about the sight lol! but i am sure UVB tube need to be changed every 6 months, not every year, or are you using a MVB??

Eyes being pushed out or looking swollen can be a sign of
a) bad lighting - just to make sure what brand are you using?
b) being dehydrated, how often are you bathing him?

Just some ideas really....

He gets a bath every other day, he loves them. He's a good swimmer too. He puffs up and motorboats around the tub like a real champ. As for UV lights i'm surprised to hear change them at 6 months. I was told to change my repti sun 10's one time a year. At any rate all 3 of my babys ahve the same lighting set ups. Bubba is the only one with sight issues or any issues at all. They all eat fatty roaches and silkies and of course salads. to tell you the truth i hardly concider it a health issue. I think its genetic, i was just curious what people would say. His eye has always looked like this but hes just out of brumation. Maybe he just got rusty lol. Needs to brush up on his aiming skills. Like i said, no problem gettin the salad, just misses to the left on a bug every once an a wile.

Yes they do still emmitt 'some' UVB after 6 months but no where near enough for a desert reptile, after 6 months it goes down to barley nothing, so i would get in the habit of changing them every 6 months.

It could be genetic, perhaps his mother wasn't the healthiest or the egg was turned a little!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
