Chance is about a year old now and just out of the blue she stopped eating roaches. She would get 20 roaches a day, 10 in the morning and 10 at night. Now she might eat 3 every other day if that and is not touching her greens at all. She also went a week and a half with out pooping whenn normally she poops every day. So I gave her a bath and rubbed her belly and omg she let out a massive load lol. It was green and brown in color and it stunk! I figured she would go back to her old eating habits but I was wrong. So far this week she has had 4 medium roaches in the past 7 days and has once again not pooped for a week......HELP?? All she wants to do is bask under her heat lamp and not under her uvb. Unless she is getting enough uvb from where she is basking from. I did a lot of reading and I am unsure if this is her going into burmitation (missed spelled im sure) or if she is sick. She is very alert and doesnt look like she is losing any weight but I need to get a scale to make sure. About a month ago she finished her teenage stage where all she wanted to do was fight, bite, and kill anything that came in to her cage. What do you all think might be going on. Please any advice would be great!

Please help!

My 8-9 month old is doing the same thing. Had a mouth culture and a fecal sample done, all clear. He isn't interested in bugs, only supers and I give him maybe 3-4 every other day. Not eating greens as he used to either. UVB Reptisun 10.0 is only 5 months old. 90-100F basking side, carpet/paper towel for substrate. Not sure why the sudden change. Not shedding either at this time, so that can't be it. I am baffled.
Any hints, suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. He's 500g and 19" long nose to tail tip/end.
It's sad to see him shut his eyes when I put a cricket or roach in there. :?

Will Reptaid help?

Hey guys, keep in mind that as their growth slows, so will the eating habits. For instance, your 19", 500 gram dragon is truly very large, even somewhat heavy, and even if he were 400 grams would be a healthy weight. Over-feeding can also lead to health issues, just like not feeding enough. We are feeding beardies like they are juvies right up into adulthood, and they suddenly are getting to an age where , if they were in the wild, breeding would be the thing on their mind, and not so much eating. Keep offering veggies with proper calcium/ vitamin supplementation, very large dragons need vegs. more than insects. Be sure they get enough hydration to help keep the bowels moving. Don't get too stressed....they go through stages, and some actually will go through a period of dormancy [ inactive without actually brumating] for no apparent reason.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
