Hey guys! I have a hatchling dragon that will be one month old on Thursday. She's been eating like a champ, even her greens. This morning when I turned the cage lights on she had some poop stuck to her tail, which I thought was odd. When I got back from running errands just an hour or so ago, she was droopy headed on the cool side of her tank, pretty much completely listless with eyes closed. I gave her a warm bath and warmed her up under the light, but I don't know what else I can do for her. I'm going to try to get her to eat some baby food later. I'm pulling my hair out! Everything I did was right, and this isn't my first beardie! I'm pretty frustrated and upset.
Here are my tank specs. I've kept the tank very simple so I can monitor her growth and behavior, but mostly so that I can see how much she's eating. Remember that she's less than 5 inches long, so the tank size isn't inhumane yet, lol.
-equivalent of a 15 gallon tank
-basking lamp
-reptisun 10
-warm side between 95 and 105, usually around 103
-cool side around 83 to 85
diet:
-dusted 1/8 to 1/4 inch crickets (reptical and herptivite)
-greens include carrots, kale and/or cactus pad cut up into tiny bits
Schedule:
lights on at 7 am, bath in the afternoon, lights off at 830 pm
Oh, she's been having normal bowel movements also, about once per day and solid with urates at one end. Very tidy looking
If I forgot anything, just ask!
Here are the photos of her I took a couple of minutes ago (after her warm-up bath) I put her back under her basking lamp to stay warm but she moved away from it:
UPDATE:
I syringed warm water into her mouth and she looked like she needed to defacate. She pooped and it was all a creamy color. Liquidy urates??? There was no normal brown fecal material passed at all
