No he will be fine w/ out it for one day -- the coil isnt doing much good anyway -- just let me know when the new UVB comes in and continue to get him outside as much as you can -- every day till the new one comes in

I feel absolutely terrible. Bill did not make it. I'm SO very sad and frustrated. I don't feel like I deserve to try again. I feel like this is the most difficult animal to care for. We have horses, dogs and I had another lizard as a kid that I had no issues with. We loved Bill so much. ????

I am so sorry- what has behavior been like since getting him into the sunlight? Was he eating? It may have been he was sick- where did you get Bill from?

He would perk up in the sun, but still didn't want to eat. I guess that's always possible, we got him at Petsmart.

How long before he had eaten anything? It sounds like he may have gotten to weak - but it is hard to say-- there could of been a number of things- again I am sorry about the little guy- don't beat yourself up - you did the best you could

I'm sorry to hear about this as well. My guess is that he had an underlying issue when you got him. They are quite good at hiding illness. I don't think this would have been caused by his setup or anything you did.

Well, after some time and more thought, we decided to try again. We got our new UVB set up in. So hopefully you'll see this Kerrie and we can go over the correct set up. My daughter picked out a beautiful new Beardie. We have named her Kayda. She is about 6" long and very happy. She does seem to like the collar greens best so far. She is really eating 6 crickets a day. Do we need to feed more?

Ok welcome to kayda- where is your T 5? Top of tank or inside the tank? He's gonna go thru relocation stress so he won't eat alot but she should not quit eating all together-- basking temps 105-110 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer- if she's eating that's good - her appetite will increase as she gets more comfortable- feed her dusted crickets as many as she can eat in 10 minutes or so- offer her a salad mixture of collards squash I will.post a website for nutrition -- calcium D3 and vitamins 2 x per week on her bugs- I will get some websites posted for worms etc too

Ok great, I currently put it on top of the mesh until I was able to get specs from you. Yes we are keeping temps there, using digital. However, today one of her baking bulbs went out. I'm wondering what is the best type to use for basking? I have some daylight LED lights we use in the house. Are those safe? If so what specs should I use on those?
You already have me the nutrition website and worms too I believe but won't hurt to get them again just in case.
When you say a many crickets as she will eat in 10 min. Is that the only feeding she needs for the day or do we feed her crickets again in the evening?

The T 5 has options you pick --- on top of screen the basking decor needs to be 8-10 inches from UVB -- inside the tank 12-15 inches from basking decor - try feeding again in the afternoon her bugs if she eats feed her as many as she will eat in 10 minutes she may eat in the afternoon for awhile and then the feeding may stop depends on how much she eats in the morning - Blaze ate in the afternoons for awhile but soon quit I leave his food bowl in his tank on the cool side till around 3 then I pull it you can order some roaches they are easier to feed and keep -- if you want a website and info on them ask I will post - for now disable your crickets by pulling a leg off and put them in the bowl keep adding till she quits eating them - if she has salad in that bowl she will eat that as well - that way you can keep track of how many shes eating and they arent escaping and getting loose in that tank - you dont want them loose in that tank over nite they bite -- LED lights do not put out heat you need another basking bulb or a HH incandescent bulb try a 100 watt if you have one in the house but make sure you get a temp --- do not feed bugs and then shut lights off they need 2-3 hrs of basking time to start digestion -

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
