should this be changed?

About 2-3 months ago I upgraded to a 50 vivi. This one in particular :

It has the Styrofoam backing which I know crickets can climb but that's not the problem. Mocha likes to try to climb it!

Last night she tried to climb to the top and ended up falling. Should I remove it or did she learn that she can't climb it? My husband said " they are reptiles and reptile climb, fall and do it all over again and they survive." ( uugh!)

you could just put it behind the glass, that way it is still visible but not available for climbing. short falls are not a problem, perhaps setting climbing areas adjacent to the back wall will encourage him to climb those instead of the background?

I threw the foam background for mine in the trash. It took up too much room width wise. Instead I provided some branches for climbing which work well too. I put a printed photo on the outside of the glass to serve as background.

Well, If I take it out then I can put her hammock back in. I'd feel better with that seeing its our of solid cloth. Guess I have a project tomorrow.
