Should I take him to the vet?

I have a shirt with loose strings on it and I found my bearded dragon chewing on them today, I stopped him as soon as I noticed but I can not say for sure if he actually swallowed some so I am trying to decide if I should take him to the vet ASAP or will he be fine?

I don't think a vet trip is necessary.

Just keep an eye on him and make sure he is able to poo.

Yep. If he can still poop, he should be just fine.

He is about 6 months old right now and normally poops every two to three days so if he doesnt within the next 3-4 days I should take him in right?

If he doesn't poop in a day or two, try feeding him a bit of veggie oil mixed with applesauce, and then give him a nice warm bath. Massage their belly from shoulder to vent.

Lots of dragons swallow things like hair accidentally, so I wouldn't warrent a vet visit over thread. If the bath/laxatives doesn't work after a few tries, then a vet trip.

And most of the 6 year olds I know are still going once a day or once every other. O.O Do you bathe him every other day or so?

He is 6 months old, not 6 years but thanks for the other information. I appreciate it, and I usually give him a bath once a week, should I do it more often? I just spray him with a water bottle about 2-3 times a day to keep him hydrated.

Oops! I meant 6 months! And yep- 3 times a week is recommended for hydration. They take water in through their vents.
