Should I pull loose shed off my dragon?

As you can see, the shed can be pulled off with very little resistance. I gave him several baths this week to help; his head shed turned flakey and just fell off. Should I wait for the rest of it to turn dry and flake off on its own, or is it okay if I cautiously help him? It's been turning dark for several weeks now and new shedding scales under the layer are building up, too. Tried to minimize the amount that was tangling tightly around his limbs.

However, worried that pulling it before it flakes off on its own may expose sensitive scales underneath.

Humidity is between 35% and 40%.

Hi
You should never pull shed off your dragon it can leave them tender someone on here compared it to sunburn on us!
Just keep bathing him & maybe put some aloe on him ( pure no other ingredients) & make sure he has rough branches to rub against he will rub it of his self.
My son has used shed aid on his dragon cause she had difficulties & it did seem to help!

I'm sorry I can't be more help I'm still learning myself.

I agree with Sharpy....never pull it off. It will come off when it's ready. The only areas that ever need help sometimes [ rarely ] are the tail tip or toes, if they look like the skin is like a rubberband, almost cutting in + restricting blood flow. Other than that, the shed will come off. I don't do anything at all for mine except a light spritz of the body while in the tank [ contrary to the thought that this will raise humidity too much] In 20 + years and more dragons of all ages than I can count ,I've never had to help with a shed. Only my silkback [ scaleless dragon ] got plain aloe vera gel to keep skin soft + shedding easily.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
