Should I provide a hide?

Hi everyone, should I be providing a hide for my boy ~10 months old? He never really uses his current hide and is more likely to go under his hammock or his log than go under his hide. The only time he ever really seems to go under his hide is on occasion (like once every 2-3 weeks) right after a meal. Should I be concerned when he goes under his hide as opposed to basking? Should I even provide him with a hide?

yes keep his hide --- I have a hide in my tank and he is 6.5 months old and is not using it yet but he will - I also have a 2 yr old and he uses his off and on but I also have a rock / hide that he seems to like as well and does use it quite often - depends on their mood I think -- what are your basking temps in and how are you taking them? Is he basking at all ?

He usually basks for most of the day. I have a temperature gun. Basking spot temps range from 100-105 on a typical day.

Ok that is good then and hes pooping good as well --- no undigested food ? Hes just chillin out then I wouldnt worry too much about him --- mine has been laying under his basking decor lately more as well but hes also on top so I am thinking hes liking the cooler basking temps at this point rather than the real hot ---
