Hey there:)

My dragon is around 9 to 10 months old, and has had some health issues, like coccidia and hasn't been eating for a while, I took him to the vet more times than I can remember he is fine now, and starting to improve a lot.
The question is, should I let him brumate?
I'm thinking of a semi brumation rather than a full one. Like 6 hrs of day light only?
He is my first dragon, any tips are GREATLY appreciated.

Is he too young to brumate?

Also: He hasn't been active before with all his health issues, and is now finallly back to his old self being hyper and alert.

I wouldn't try to force brumation on him, especially since he is young. If he is ready to brumate, he will go down with no help from you.

I don't want to 'force' him to, I actually really don't want him to brumate this year, I won't be too happy about worriying every minute of the day, coz as I said he hasn't recovered 100% yet.

Thanks for your reply:)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
