Should I be pissed at Petsmart?

went yesterday to get my bearded dragon and the guy helping me said i needed this compact light (corkscrew design). Im reading here now that I shouldn't have gotten a compact light but a tube light. why do the people who work at these stores sell you crap that you dont need? Should i box this thing up and take it back to PS? Im kind of pissed because this was 20 bucks I could have put towards a reptisun.

I think they know what they know (which is not much or very incorrect), not actively trying to sell (maybe oversell a little)...take the bulb back and get your money back while the receipt is fresh...

ya its best to do your research before trusting pet stores... i studied herpetology in college & I hear so many incorrect statements at some pet stores...just be aware and know your stuff for own good in the future

We (I work at PetCo) aren't really trained much on reptiles and what training we do get is standard, bare minimum stuff. I shake my head at my co-workers cuz they really don't know much about beardies and products for them at all.

But yes, take it back and order a ReptiSun online. You can search on Yahoo or Amazon and find the cheapest one.

Yep gotta love them! The info they give is horrid!! The rep "specialist" argues with me saying that meal worms and super worms are exactly the same worm just diff package! And how yhey need calci sand cause its good fir them ..... Well anyways they sold me the zilla tube UVB which I read us REALLY bad so I returned it they gave me a lil crap but they refunded my $ after me talking them how crappy that light is! No one wants a crazy mom with 2 kids toting a chihuahua yelling about how un educated they are lol

Now I AM pissed! sent the wife to PS to get crickets and a cricket holder. She came back with freeze-dried millworms. The guy told her that Fred NEEDED them. Freezedried. Really? He also sold her a thermometer that is one of those strips that stick on to the glass. She said she didn't ASK for those things but the guy insisted and made her think that this crap was NEEDED. whatever.

Write a letter to corporate. Then fill out his customer satisfaction survey. Anything less than a 5 counts against him.

they did the same and they would not give me a refund. :angry5:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
