Recently I have noticed Puffs head appeared to be shivering, i first noticed it after a bath and thought it odd but it seemed to stop and start so i just figured she was chilled. I really dont think its a calcium deficiency, but wanted to run it by the forum.
Her head shivers, not continuously, and only for a few seconds then it stops for a few minutes. I seem to be the only person to notice it, she is handled by at least 2 people multiple times daily.
she is about 7 years old, recently (4 mos ago) broke her tail and lost half of it. The vet said she was in excellent health, although a little overweight.
she spends almost everyday, all day outside in her outdoor enclosure. when indoors (on cloudy or rainy days) we use a reptisun 5.0 and a heat lamp, if she stays in more than a day we use a reptisun 10.0.
she eats superworms daily, and also a selection of vegetable organic baby food (she will not eat veggies) both with light dusting of calcium.
we have had this routine for nearly 7 years and never had a problem, any ideas as to why her head is shivering?
