Another member on here is re-homing her Beardie with me. The only problem is that neither of us have shipped a Beardie before and we are both a little, no, make that A LOT nervous about it.
Is there anyone that can help us or give us advice on how to pack the Beardie? For starters, the Beardie is a large adult that is currently in San Diego, CA.
I live in St Louis, MO, and we know that she will be sent Fedex overnight, first AM delivery. But how do we get her ready for the big trip? What makes a good shipping container?
Do we put anything in with her, like a soft blankie, so that she doesn't get too bumped around, but can still move around and right herself in case the box gets turned over ?
I imagine that once she's in the dark box, she'll go to sleep, since that is what my Lizzy used to do when the lights went out. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Ive recently had 3 shipped to me and all were in a simple cardboard box lined on all sides with simple, white, breathable styrofoam. This helps keep the temps inside manageable so they don't get too hot, or too cold. Even the top inside had styrofoam. Then inside, just some light, fluffy packing material like paper towels or something should suffice. You want the box to be about the right size for the dragon so he's not flipping around all over the place and getting hurt. Even next day air is going to be a wild ride for him with at least a few flips and turns.

Here is a quick unboxing video I did of our last one. Mine are all babies but they came from reputable breeders who ship a lot of beardies. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the video Chris. That gave me some pretty good ideas on how to build a shipping container, and of course it will be labelled well on the outside.
Any one else have any input?

I think I found what I was looking for! There is a company called Reptiles Express. They sell shipping containers for reptiles, offer discounted FEDEX shipping, and are recognized by FEDEX. I think that if I buy my container and have it shipped to the other person, I can prepay for the FEDEX and all she needs to do is put the Beardie in the container and take it to FEDEX. Next day the Beardie arrives at my house!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
