Shedding?

Hey y'all, my beardie's back/'pancake' part of his body is turning lighter than his limbs and head, of course which he is almost about to shed. I was wondering if his appetite will be changed by this? I put a bowl of phoenix worms (his fav) in front of him and he only ate one. He ate a whole bowl along with some crickets this morning though, so I know that's good. But do they have a lower appetite when doing a 'larger' type of shed? Thaanks.

Sometimes a particularly difficult shed will affect their appetite, but often it won't have too much of an impact.
My dragons have continued to eat as though nothing has changed
