Shedding

My juvenile bearded dragon seemed to turn very dark in her body and lost color while her tail is showing a bright orange, i believe she has shed her tail and is about to shed her body there is a line at the base of her tail that looks like its is peeling upward? how do I know if she is about to shed.

That sounds right. Not all beardies shed their entire body at once. My boy shed his head and body and then a few weeks later is shedding his legs and tail. They usually get a light, maybe even grayish color when they are about to shed.

When I first got my beardie she was in mid-shed her body was ruff and felt like sand paper and she would scratch her head on the carpet or rock. Right now her whole body (besides feet & half of her tail) is a bright red-ish/Orange color her feet and half her tail are still grayish so shes still shedding them and every time I touch them she looks at me like "Why are you doing that don't you know that's painful for me!!!"... But yeah your beardie sounds like its just shedding .

It might be a while before the shed, but definitely looks like there will be a shed soon enough.

Do many shed there tail than the body after?

My two shed their bodies then their tails, but I wouldn't be too worried about it. Not all beardies are the same

She has been acting shady, i fell asleep without turning heat or uvb and i believe she stayed under it all night and she hasnt eaten in a day and a half. Im going to upload some during and post shed pics later.

My leatherback's tail was always a different color than his body and head. I noticed that in some of the pictures after the shedding picture. Mine changed after I kept taking him outside for 30 minute basking in the arizona sun. Now only half of his tail is lighter than the rest then the tip is the darkest. Odd.

yes her tip is very dark to it almost looks like tail rot,she is healing up from tail rot and at first i could not tell which part was good and what was bad.

Her pattern and spikes look orange in most pictures bud she is really bright red and yellow.
