Hi everyone. I've had my BD for a little over three months now I guess..and in that time, he/she (still cant tell) has shed twice. Well, almost. This is the reason for my question. The first time my little friend shed, the back half (from middle of the back to tail) of him/her shed first....then a few days later, I noticed the skin darkening on the top half and lots of rubbing his face on his rock and sure enough, a couple of more days later his head to mid-section shed. Well, just last week the bottom half shed and this morning, I can tell that his head is going to shed. Is this the normal shedding procedure, or should I be concerned. Other than this, he is fantastic. Huge poops, eating lots of dubia, eats mustard greens from my hand and really enjoys being out of his viv and running around our couches. I think he is actually more happy outside of the viv. He sits on the edge of couch and watches the kids play or television, whatever happens to be going on.

Thanks,
Chris

That's pretty normal. Mine sheds in three stages. Head one week, body the next week, then finally tail in the third week. Then we have 1.5 weeks of no shedding, and the cycle starts again.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
