So I've had Jace since November and this is his second shed with me. He is approx. 3 1/2 months old. It's is now 5am and he's up. He had gone to bed at his normal time, but usually he wakes up after I leave for work. I took him out and his body was really cool to the touch, so I checked his cage temp with my temp gun and it read 72-75 in different areas. He took his first shed hard too, expect that time he had stopped eating and would vomit up what little food he had had. No vomit so far this time. Right now he is almost done shedding his legs and his tail had already completely shed. He's body and his head are up to bat next. Is there a way I could make this easier for him? I give him a bath every other day, should I up it to every day? Should I use this shedding spray I had bought for my boyfriend's leo on him? Thanks in advanced for any advice. Happy Valentine's day!

My lil man hates when he is shedding. He runs around the tank like a nut trying to get it off. I give him a bath every other day normally. When he is in shed I bath him after he eats then put him to bask. When its time for his next feeding the shed is barely hanging on so I give him another quick bath. I take a med cup and just constantly drip water over the shedding spots. Then again put him to bask. Within an hour its usually off. Mine has a hard time with face shedding. He has gotten shed in his eyes with every shed. The vet has me putting saline drops in his eyes when he sheds there so it doesn't get stuck. Hope my rambling helps you.

It also helps to mist them with water daily, just make shure you dont pick, peel,or rub off any of the skin it will fall off on its own.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
