Shedding Questions

So I read the info on shedding provided in the forums, and read a few more articles. Yet I wanted to get some proper advice rather than relying on Google answers. My baby chroma is rubbing on his branch and resting log. I'm assuming it is due to him getting ready to shed. Now I have helped a turanchula shed but not a bearded dragon. Any tips or advice would be helpful. I know warm water baths will help but how often and etc. Thank you.

My Beardie is shedding now. I give him 1-2 baths daily to soften the shed. During 1 of the baths I take a soft brittle toothbrushes that I use just my bearded dragon and GENTALY rub at the shed to help it get off. Feel free to PM any time!

Bathing once a day will help. It is okay to lightly brush with a soft bristled toothbrush, but you NEVER want to pull shedding skin off if there is any resistance. That can lead to damage, pain, infection, etc. to your baby. There are shedding aids on that you can buy but I personally have not used them.

Awesome so a bath will definitely help the shedding, I think I will go ahead and start to do that. He isnt becoming grumpy by the shedding, i read most bearded dragons get grumpy to some degree. Well technically to me he isnt being grumpy, he keeps getting grumpy towards my fiance. Thank you all though for the advice I will go ahead and give him a warm bath to sooth him.

Every dragon is different. With shedding you may notice changes in behavior, bowel movement, appetite, etc. It's completely normal! Just make sure to always offer fresh greens/veggies daily even if they aren't eating it, daily baths during shed time, still offer protiens/live food, etc. Your dragon may become lethargic or hide out more during shed time, or not be as willing to be handled, but still try to get them baths so they stay hydrated.
