shedding nostrils...

So, I've been noticing that whenever that one big scale around Doodles's nostrils decides to shed, she tends to breathe much harder. The dead skin also never falls off on its own, I've had to tweeze it off her nostrils because the shed extends inside her nose. I'm worried that her shedding is blocking her airways, and I'm afraid I'm going to come home to an asphyxiated dragon one of these times...does anyone else notice this with their beardies?

Yes, my dragon has had the full nostril shed a few times, not to worry your dragon will still be able to breath.

I would not pull it out thought, unless it is completely lose. Pulling at a shed that is not quite ready can cause damage. If you are concerned you can mist your dragon several times throughout the day, to help loosen the shed.

Well, I'm glad to hear she's not going to suffocate anytime soon...& of course, I only pull the shed out when it's been flaked off completely around her nostril for a while & I can tell it's bothering her. The shed from the inside tends to get bunched up in her nose though, & I feel so bad when she gets all puffed up & frustrated trying too hard to exhale out her nose.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
