Shedding behavior

I've been wondering if his behavior is changing lately because of a shed or not, because he is not acting the same as usual. Rin is kind of laid back for a juvenile anyway. He likes to stare at shiny objects in the backyard while perched on the top of the couch, and he is a cuddler for the most part, any time. Lately though, he is being more lazy, and sweet acting than normal. He just wants to cuddle when I take him out. His body is starting to shed in small parts, so I don't know if it's going to be a partial body shed or a massive, full body one. Right now, his personality seems similar to that of a child with the flu (best as I can describe it). And he has avoided eating crickets for the past 3 days. Yesterday, he let a bunch of them jump around him, and two of them jumped onto his back, and walked all the way down his nose while he stood there. He will eat worms when put in front of him....butter worms, and horn worms three days ago. But, yesterday and today he had only two horn worms, then today after his second one, he turned down a third horn worm, and just stared at it. He's just lets the crickets crawl on him for the past two days. Is that normal behavior for a shed? Do they just not want to eat?
We've had him for 3 months now, and he's around 9 months old. The past couple of sheds he gets kind of the same way, but usually while he is IN his shed, not leading up to it.
I've heard some say that their dragons get pissy, but Rin just gets cuddly, and doesn't mind being touched, or petted, but does not seem to want to eat, unless it's worms, which seem kind of similar to a kid eating candy...can't resist.

Each shed cycle can be a little different based on what I've seen. Had Rin pooped recently? Sometimes they can act a bit lethargic if they're waiting on that.

He didn't poop for 3 days then he did tonight.....before I got home, so hubby had to clean it up. I WIN! sorry...did I type that out loud?
But he was super cuddly when I got home, and he would not eat. He just wanted to be held and didn't want to be put back into his viv, he kept doing the back up on my hand when I tried to set him down.

Hmm. Might just be a mood. Let me know how his appetite is tomorrow now that he's made some room and had a good sleep.

He ALWAYS has a good sleep. So then, they don't go on hunger strikes when they're starting a shed normally? He nibbles on greens lately, but not really as much as he was about a week ago when he was gulping them down, either.

I can only really comment based on Cooper. He went through cycles of not eating much for a week and then going to town, being cuddly then being squirmy. I didn't worry about it too much after a while unless it persisted or he looked sick/upset. often it seemed to be shed related.

Spyro is shedding his arms, legs, and tail now. His appetite isn't what it usually is. He will eat some but not even half of what he normally packs away.

Gave him a bath earlier and an entire front arm shed came off in the bathtub. It looked like a glove the way it came off whole, even to the tips of the fingers. But it was just one arm. The other arm doesn't seem to be shedding, nor do the back legs. His sides have tiny bits that came off in the tub as well, when I rubbed his side.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to see how he eats today. Ive run out of worms, and dubia so crickets and greens are in his immediate future. Eat it or don't, but there are starving dragons in Australia right now, Rin.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
