Hi there
Gaspar at last seems to be settling in and teething probs sorted (the hoppers I was feeding him were too big for him!) and he is now about to shed. Ive seen shedding aids for sale and wondered whether these were of any value or are they just a gimmick? Dont want to spend money unecessarily but if it makes him feel more comfortable while he sheds then Ill get some!
Thanks!

I don't really think that shedding aids are necessary; they seem like more of a luxury purchase than anything, and since I don't know what the ingredients are, I can't say I recommend it. I mean for all I know they just put baby oil or something in a tiny bottle and are selling it for $5 haha. Most dragons are fairly adept at shedding themselves without help, so maybe just putting some rocks or bark in there that are abrasive but not enough to hurt him will help him shed. My dragon loves to rub himself all over his coarse driftwood to get his dead skin off. If you decide to try the shedding aid, let us know how it works out for you!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
