She is ewing on me!

So Stevie just pooped on my son, and wow, after hamsters and geckos that is a lot bigger and stinkier than any of us were expecting lol. So my son is trying to get back to the cage slowly, the whole time he's like ewww she is Ewing on me, why is she doing this to me, I thought she liked me lol

I really dont think so. Are you holding during or after feeding time? Some beardies just try to go outside their enclosure. I would try a 10-15 minute warm soak before holding and she will probably go in the water. Also you can tell when they are going to go because they raise their tail and begin wiggling their hind region, maybe keep a rag or something nearby and when she shows the signs put her on it. :?:

Was just about to suggest putting her in a warm bath (or somewhere that's "poop-able") right when you take her out, but Natasha beat me to it! From what I've seen it's pretty common for beardies to not like pooping in their tank

Yea, Zero has definitely done this. I now refuse to take him out until AFTER he's pooped :roll:

She went from pooping on us 2 days in a row to not pooping for 3 days,
Took a massage to get everything moving again. Silly girl, I hope we didn't make her shy to poop putting her back in her enclosure after she did it.
