Hello everyone, I have a question. For the past week or so Yaddle has been going crazy running, climbing, glass dancing and just acting hyper. Yaddle is about a year and 8 months old now. Her tank and temps are setup correctly and haven't changed. I'm wondering if Spring has anything to do with it? Do beardies go through a "spring fever"? Is she wanting to get some "action" (which of couse is a no, lol  )? Midna is her normal self just basking like usual. But wow, Yaddle is being a non-stop spazzy beardie.

:study:

Oh boy, this sounds like fun, lol. So how long does this last for? Will this lead to her laying eggs soon? This part is all new to me, Midna never did anything like this.

Has Yaddle backed off of her protein intake on her own?

She doesn't eat as much protein as she used to eat. She has been really enjoying her greens a lot. Actually, I have had to feed her more greens as she is eating all of her greens  I switched over from mustards to the spring mix so I think that she is eating more greens because of that. How long will the spring fever last?

If she's not really wanting to eat protein and is eating more greens, she may be producing eggs. Getting a lay box ready would be a good idea just in case.

set up a play area and let her run around for a bit, maybe she'll work off that excess energy.

my big guy got like that. he explores the couch and/or wreaks havoc on my computer desk, then he's pretty calm for a few days.

I also would suggest letting her run around a bit. My two cruise around for a few hours each until they finally just pass out.

I might have to get a lay box. I've been feeling her tummy everyday just to see if I can try to feel any eggs, but nothing yet

I've been letting her out a lot more since she's been so hyper. She loves running all over the couch and climbing on it too. She was doing it for hours. Every now and then she would take a break and lay on my stomach, then she was off again, lol. Saturday I even took her with me to a couple of stores to see if that would tire her out any but nope, didn't work. After we came home she was at it again! It's like she has been drinking red bull, lol

Lol. Hey, I'd rather her have too much energy than not enough! I'm glad she's getting some good play time in!

Most of the time, you can't feel their eyes, especially the infertile ones.

Great that she is enjoying running around, it's amazing how much they can run around, exhausting for us humans to watch.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
