poncho ate one a clover flower from our yard today! I tried to stop her but she was so quick, she got it in her mouth and it was gone

we don't use pesticides or any of that kind of thing in our yard, will she be alright? I mean I don't think clover is toxic to anything but I just want to be sure. also she occasionally tries to eat grass or dandelion leaves but I stop her. if she ingested any of that would it harm her?

here's some pictures from today, including her looking at the exact flower she gobbled up

Hi there....clover is fine , my dragons actually love the green leaves. :) You can pick them for her all summer. Dandelion is also good, forsythia blooms and impatiens are all O.K. No daffodils or lily of the valley though.

Hey there, clover is fine. So are the dandelion flowers.
As long as you don't use and herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers, Poncho should be fine.
I'm sure you've seen this link a bunch of times, I check it every time I go grocery shopping.
If you scroll to the bottom, there's a list of flowers and plants that are safe.

thank you AHBD and BlueMorpho for answering! I have that nutrition list bookmarked, but I didn't see the bottom where it says what plants are okay, thanks for pointing that out!

does this mean I should just let her eat this stuff if she wants?

Yes, it means that. Make sure there are no pesticides or any chemical that can harm her though. You can also grow the plants too :)

Dandelion greens are good for a staple, so if you're growing them no need to buy!!
And the flowers make a good treat, too!

As folks have already said, clover and dandelion are OK as long as they
don't have pesticides/herbicides/fertilizers on them [be wary not only of
your own yard, but neighboring yards where water runoff may occur].

Be very wary of her eating any outside bugs though. Lightning bugs are
exceptionally toxic and even one can kill an adult beardie. Other bugs can
also be a source of parasites.

I have a question too. From the photo, it appears that her feet and lower
legs are stained greenish. That may just be the photo lighting and such though.
Are her legs stained from being on colored sand maybe? If so, that's not really
a good thing. We recommend against using sand as a substrate. It is a
breeding ground for bacteria and is difficult to keep clean. It's also not
a beadie's natural environment to be on sand.

yes, the green/blue color is from colored sand the pet shop had her on. when I got her home I switched out the sand for ceramic tiles. I'm told the color will come off with shedding eventually

I just had to comment and say this is the cutest thing ever!! LOL! Thank you for sharing the adorable photos. I can't wait to get my beardie out in the yard! How do you trust your beardie not to run away? Mine would bolt like a maniac but we just tried out a harness and he didn't mind it so we will definitely be going outside now.

I'm not sure, she never really tries to get away from me at all! that's why I haven't gotten a harness or anything because she really doesn't seem to need one with how calm she is

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
