SHE ATE A BUG D:

I haven't been able to give her luvin's much lately because of school and my new job. So I'm out for easter break and its a nice day so I decided to take Newt out. First I just sat on the steps with her, letting her get used to being outside. After a while she finally lightened her colors and looked more relaxed. Then I went out into the yard and stomped around, trying to discourage buggies away from the spot I decided was good for her first experience with grass. Now my yard isnt pretty....weeds galore. But dad had cut the grass recently enough so it wasnt high at all. But still I stomped around where I wanted to sit with her and put her down and sat next to her, keeping an eye out for birdies and other dangers.

I saw it a split second before she did....alas my human reflexes are far to slow. It was something dark and kinda looked like a roach/waterbug whatever, and there it went. Stupid insect must've been on a suicide mission, it went straight for Newt! I saw it and only had time to make then :shock: face before SHE GOBBLED IT UP!!! I couldn't stop it!!
I know it wasnt a lightning bug, they're practically wiped out wehre I live. I know they're deadly to beardies....but I honestly DONT KNOW what the dern thing was that she gobbled up! mom thought it was kind of funny.....am I just over reacting?

Well either way thats IT for today. I dont need another heart attack :|

my beardie ate one when we first took him out. i barely had time to yell 'noooo'. and he just looked at me like 'what?'

he was fine, but just keep an eye on her for a few days.

I swear shes going to give me a heart attack!! Next time I'll just keep her on teh porch or something....or stomp around a lot more before putting her on the grass
